The above was the case for Mike, a student accountant swimming in debt until a friend offered him a chance to give copywriting a try. It was a scary because he was new to this industry, yet he was determined to pay his debt. Simply, he accepted the offer to write for his new boss, in a day or two, he submitted his first piece and earned a few dollars. His boss, James scored his first piece as below average, yet paid just to encourage him.

With fee days, another job came

With fee days, another job came knocking and Jaden instructed him on pitfalls he should avoid to submit a quality piece this time. A quality Mike prides is the ability to pay attention to detail and follow through with instructions holistically. In a few days, he submits and this work proved beyond average and years from now; this can be said to be when he made his break into copywriting. Same ideas kept bouncing in his head, with more hardwork and consistency, earning a regular side income can be handy to clear his debt.

Mike made a move to update his schedule, cut on some sleep and create time to focus on copywriting. At some times, he would set out to read books and articles on the subject of copywriting and related skills. Being dedicated to his schedule, there was something new to learn, improving and gaining prowess in writing applications like MS work and how to check a work for plagiarism. Keeping to a routine of writing daily became handy, starting with 100 to 200 words daily and increase to 500 words daily improved his writing. Especially in business and freelancing, there is a quest for more and the pay he earned has become quite little for the kind of piece he churned out.

Surfing the internet and watching videos, he stumbled an attractive job offer. There was an issue, the criteria was the stumbling block, applicants must either have a blog or have uploaded pieces on the internet space. This set the quest for more, Mike began to explore ways to set up his blog and upload articles on the internet space. Applying the same work ethic, paying attention to details, keeping to schedules and a tinge of hardwork; he published his first blog post on lifestyle in short while. In the following days, he explored an uncharted course to apply for jobs on several freelance job boards and websites.

This was another break in the copywriting space for Mike, more jobs offers and acceptance kept flooding his email account. Today, such a success story cannot be told with the influence and guidance of a friend and mentor Jaden. And we cannot pay a close eye to his efforts to take risk or adventure in a different industry and keep a strict work ethic. Our stories can never be the same but success can be attained in business of copywriting.
