Plagiarism and writing content

Plagiarism involves using other people’s ideas as if they are your own. It can also be a deliberate act of submitting someone’s work to your educator. We have different forms of plagiarisms, which include; deliberate plagiarism, paraphrasing, buffing, stitching sources, mosaic plagiarism, and buying other people’s assignments. There are numerous reasons as to why people deceive their tutors. Some of these reasons include;

Fear of failing in a test

Fear of failing in a test or exam has highly contributed to plagiarism. In most cases, this fear makes learners develop various strategies for solving their problems. At some point, learners may feel that these strategies are not effective and fear of failing comes upon them. Finally, most of the learners end up feeling inferior and ignoring their strategies. The larger number of students who commit such an offense claims that they are just afraid of disappointing their educators. Failing lowers the status of people and therefore, some people opt to plagiarize the work given to them to uphold their status. Most of them are just aiming to get better recommendations and therefore, they had better do it rather than losing the recommendations. In most cases, they ask their peers who are best in the areas they are doing the work or the research to do it for them, and they pay them later. Others just pop into the internet and source for materials relating to what assignment given to them and just paste the work directly to their works.

Fear in most cases dictates the

Fear in most cases dictates the mode of method that we used to achieve our desired results. In addition, many people opt to uphold their status since it appears as the best way of boosting their self-esteem. It is true that everyone wants the best for himself or herself but in most cases, only a few people are willing to sacrifice their time and do what is required of them. Almost everyone wants to do a task that she or he is not straining to achieve it. Fear can cause depression at some point or make a person feel less motivated. For such people who do not want to work hard but still want to uphold their esteem, failure can make such people lose hope in their lives.

Secondly, lacking interest in whatever one is doing is another cause of plagiarism. It mostly occurs in situations where the learners are bored with what usually their tutor covers during their lesson. Some instructors such as lecturers may not understand that their units are boring and if they do, they have no option of changing them since the institution has mandated them to cover what is in the syllabus. Finally, most of the students will not bother doing the work and therefore, they opt to plagiarize since it appears like the easiest and simplest way after a few modifications.

Thirdly, pressuring someone can result in plagiarism. Parents, institutions, and organisations sponsor most students. In most cases, most of these institutions and parents want the best for their students. This means that students are pressured to please them. Another source of pressure is the competition in the job market. Most companies only prefer taking the top students in every field of their operation. Seriously, no one wants to spend so many years in academic institutions and end up not securing a good job. Moreover, our abilities differ from one person to another. Therefore, these students try every means possible for them to succeed in life and in most cases then end up plagiarising their work. As they try to overcome this pressure, stress builds up and in some cases; they fail including a proper citation or sometimes repeats what they had written previously.

Furthermore, being arrogant is another reason that leads to plagiarism. This results when students or researchers become so overconfident and fearless. At some point, some even claim to be experts in plagiarism and this draws them closer to being caught. Such people are not after any reputation. They just do it because they think they are experts in such areas. This also makes them feel safe unless they are caught committing the offence.

Finally, some just feel good when copying other people’s work. Many people wish to spend most of their time free watching video clips, either listening to music or playing games. Copying others is a major problem that develops over a period and people find it interesting especially when they want to be like their peers.
