Analytical essays are one of the five other types of essays that include, narratives, descriptive essays, expository essays and persuasive essays. The analytical essays are generally essays that need the writer to provide an argument or claim on a particular piece of work be it a video or a written piece of work. This type of essay sticks to the the topic and expound on it efficiently. When writing analytical essays, certain conditions are followed to achieve success of the essay. These conditions include:

Decide on what topic is to be explored in the essay. Involves the art of determining what topic one is to undertake. This is determined after understanding what is required in the prompt by reading it carefully and understanding it.

Come up with a paper written

Prewriting for the essay. It involves breaking the topic down and understanding it. Prewriting prepares you mentally and gives you time for you to gather evidence in your mind before bringing it down to paper. This prepares you adequately even before you start writing down your argument. Prewriting eventually leads to brainstorming where you think about the topic. It creates a mind map such that you plan everything you are to write in your mind and think of the possible types of arguments you are to write.

Come up with a paper written plan of the task at hand. It is essentially a manifestation of the process of brainstorming where one now comes to the practical part of writing the actual plan on paper. This is crucial to avoid forgetting the important points that may have been major strong holds to your essay. A paper written plan acts like a blueprint for your work and if done correctly is actually the first step to the success of your essay.

Expound on the supporting evidence while

Develop the thesis statement or statements to be used. These statements or statements are important as they explain to the reader the purpose for writing the essay. They give a brief overview on the work that is being covered and summarizes the writers claim or argument in a short understandable way. Thesis statements should not be ambiguous or give unnecessary information but should be short and simple. Although they are short they should cover the scope of one's work.

Evidence may be obtained from the surrounding sources like provided textbooks or can be gotten from other sources like videos, other books rather than those around you or even the internet. Evidence is the most crucial part of the analytical essay as it determines if the claim set is relevant or not. Therefore, evidence should be researched on deeply and the points understood well. It should be understood that evidence should never be twisted or altered in any way.

Write a brief but detailed introduction. Introduce your work in the introduction in detail. It is in the introduction that the thesis is written. The introduction should be made engaging to the reader. This section of the essay should be short and direct to the point.

Write the body paragraphs. The body of the essay comes after the introduction. This is where the points that had been planned before are executed. Depending on the amount of information to be written or the instructions, the number of paragraphs in the body or its length defers. In these paragraphs, the three important areas that are usually written are the topic sentence, the analysis and the evidence. A paragraph with this format is a strong paragraph formation depending on the points and information gathered..

Quoting and paraphrasing. This is a crucial area in analytical essays. Quotations should be introduced effectively in the paragraphs and should be done at the right moments. Paraphrasing involves the interpretation of a piece of work in your own words then writing them down in the essay. Misinterpretation should be avoided in order to give proper information.

The conclusion. At this point the writer is supposed to explain and show how he or she supported the thesis. The writer should not bring up new arguments at this point. The writer is also allowed to give comments and give his or her views.

Proofreading. This is when you go through your work so as to troubleshoot any possible errors you may have made in your essay.
